Could I have passed on chlamydia
I got chlamydia from a man I was seeing 6 months ago and just found out. I made him get tested while we were seeing each other, and everything came back negative. We broke it off after a little bit but I did see him once after. Fast forward a few months ago and he told me he came back positive for chlamydia in his mouth only (Im not sure if they tested his mouth the first time). He isn’t sure how long he had it for, but the timelines he thought didn’t match up with us. Since I had no symptoms I never went to get tested.
Now I’ve been seeing this guy for the past month, and we haven’t had sex yet but I did give him head once and he did finger me. I’m freaking out now because i thought i had a uti and went to get tested and it came back negative, so I got an sti test done just in case and it came back positive for chlamydia. Im currently taking doxycycline for it, for 7 days. I’m so thankful I didn’t sleep with the guy yet but Im worried there might still be a possibility I could’ve passed it on. Is this possible? What are the odds? He’s an amazing guy so I’d rather not have to tell him if I don’t have to, he’s the first good guy I’ve met in a long long time and I don’t want this to ruin that, but I would also hate not telling him if there was a chance.
How long should I wait to do anything or to sleep with him after I finish my medication?
