You and I met at a bar, me being an older (40s) guy who moved into a college town to keep an eye on a business I own.

I saw you across the still not overcrowded bar since it was the week before move in and most students weren’t back in town. I smiled, you smiled, I bought you a drink, we flirted, danced. Dancing lead to touching, my hands roaming over your body, touching lead to kissing, kissing lead to asking you back to my place.

It started off as a one night stand between us, we were both feeling the drinks from that night and decided to get an Uber back to my place for a night of bed shaking fun. I gave you my number, you said you’d text but you hadn’t. We’d bump into each other from time to time and we’d smile and wave before moving on.

The semester progresses and the living situation with roommates deteriorated. Loud late parties, and you decided to head out for a night of quiet studying. Or so you told yourself. You walk down one of the less populated streets off the main bar scene street and you bump into me as I’m closing up my coffee shop. We exchange greetings and I can see you’re upset.

I make us some lattes and you tell me about your troubles and I offer to let you come live with me.
