Astrophotography Question

Jupiter 1

Jupiter 2

Raw Stacked Image

Hello, I firstly present my first 2 kinda-goodish images of Jupiter, taken with a veTEC 585 C Colour and a 2x apo Barlow.

I have some questions about how I have to go about refining my images, the first image is taken from 4000 full 4k resolution images over 2 minutes. The second one is about 1800 images stacked. I have full 4k resolution, because I need to manually adjust the Dobson but I already plan on switching to a goto-system with a similiar telescope.

Firstly I read up on PIPP, AutoStackert and AstroSurface and what mostly confuses me are all those settings that guides don't recommend. Like in PIPP, why shouldn't I do quality estimation? Can I concatenate "videos" with different settings? Like exposure and stuff.

Then in AutoStackert, when do I adjust the quality estimator? Like just with the first image the seemingly best image was an egg shaped distorted Jupiter until I manually set the noise robustness to 8, why can't I just leave it at that forever?

And the last question is just if anyone can recommend a good guide on AstroSurface/ WaveSharp because my images always get so... crunchy. Like I see a "good" pre-image (see image 3) and think wow! this is going to have so many details and then it just goes crunchy and looks like its out of focus... Maybe it is the focus, maybe its not, maybe its expectation mismanagement. But thats why I am asking the hivemind! But other than that I am so excited by these pictures, I just feel like if I'd actually know what I am doing, I could get so much more out of all this.

If anyone is interested or wants to try themselves, I maybe can also upload the raw .ser files somewhere.

Thanks for reading and thanks for the answers in advance 😄. Clear skies everyone!
