New SSD

I just bought a new 2TB SSD it is a crucial p510 my old one is a crucial p3 my motherboard is an asus tuf b650E Wifi my CPU is an amd ryzen 7 9700X. The first thing I did when I bought it was put in the second SSD slot not knowing that my ssd was gen 5 and that this may or may not support it booted new ssd not there checked BIOS still nothing, put ssd in the 3rd slot as per Gemini request since my 4060 gpu was in the bottom slot the whole time (didn't know I was losing FPS) so I switched put my ssd in the 3rd slot and gpu in the top slot, still nothing windows or BIOS then found it that it was gen 5 and best to put it directly connected to CPU so I switched their places now the new one is on the first slot and the second is on the 3rd still nothing, I updated my BIOS removed the old ssd removed GPU and currently running in testing mode not knowing what to do. What do I do to get this thing working. The thing is throughout this whole mess the new drive showed up on BIOS once then when I went to check disk management to allocate it it was not there so I went to recheck BIOS and it disappeared so at least I think it works. Any suggestions?
