Nobody is getting saved, and there is no way out. That's the point

Theory 💡

I have a weird theory, pls dont bully me!

I don't think they are getting out. I think that they are going to be stuck, and they won't be able to save the abstracted charecters. I think this works with the way Gooseworks writes because they wouldn't be getting a happy ending, but would still have to accept and find joy in a stagnant life. Which is the lesson of the show. Gooseworks isn't predictable, she knows how to write a good plot twist. And I really do think that the main cast coming to terms with the fact that they aren't getting out, they aren't saving their friends, and one day they will all be gone, will play into that stagent life idea. Accepting things as they are instead of trying to escape a prison that has no key to leave. Them having to accept all of this while also knowing that they cant save the others. I think that having the abstracted charectors stay abstracted adds a deeper level of grief to it all. Like yes this is permanent and there is nothing they can do about it besides just accept it and continue on. Also to anyone who's gonna say "Gooseworks wouldn't do that bc the fans would hate it! " have you ever interacted with any of her posts??? She doesn't care what most people want, she cares about writing a good and impactfull story that keeps you on your toes and will feel good to rewatch. Even if it breaks your heart over and over. Thats the goal of some shows.

Idk might be crazy but just a thought.
