To everyone with a home lab, how many of you have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field?

I have very little experience in computer science, and I’d like to pursue a degree in something totally unrelated (which will take up a lot of my energy, leaving me with not enough time to do my own programming).

But I know that once I finish my degree, I’ll devote myself fully to computer science purely for the fun of it (not for a job—the market is saturated anyway).

Do you have any advice for those starting from scratch, whether it’s about setting up a home lab or just any basic computer science info that might help?
