Lack of information

So I'm now at the stage of where I'm now leving high school within the next week

I want to put all my effort into becoming a firefighter BUT I do not think I want to become one in Ireland , I'm stuck in this inner term-oil ,

I want to move to move in with my uncle in Newyork and try becoming a member of the FDNY and hopefully live there for the rest of my life and have the privilege of serving the people of NYC

but each time I try to research on how to become a firefighter I'm always finding misinformation for example I found information saying you must be living in one of the five districts of Newyork eg Manhattan but then I find information say you don't

It's like this for a lot of information I look into I've been at this for months and I feel like I've gotten absolutely now where like a keep running but I'm not moving

This is quite literally driving me crazy I whish there where just a clear set of steps I could follow and everything wasn't up to just luck or lottery system
