What do y’all think of animals?

So recently I’ve been thinking about how the Bible represents animals, as far as I’m aware, it states that humans are higher than any other animal right? So I assume this stems from the fact that humans are intelligent and are the only animals to build infrastructure, but that‘s assuming intelligence is linear and that other animals who don’t have the same capabilities are less intelligent. Why would humans be at the top if other animals like Dolphins have been proven to be just as or nearly as smart as us?
