[MI] Landlord responsibility for hazardous bathroom leak

Location: Michigan

There is a major leak from my bathroom. I don't know the location of the leak besides that it's an issue with the pipes somewhere, but the toilet bowl has emptied itself even with the water turned off so it clearly contains waste.

From what I've read landlords have to make repairs within 24 hours. I first contacted them around 11:30 this morning. They aren't wanting to fix it today.

Do I have the right to repair and deduct in this situation if I order repairs tonight? I cannot even stay here tonight if it is not fixed because of the severity.

ETA Leak has spread to kitchen and living area.
