Cooling gel memory foam mattress sounds great, but does it really stay cool through the night

Been dealing with sleeping hot for a while now and it’s getting annoying tbh. I wake up sweaty almost every night, especially around my back and shoulders, and my current mattress feels like it traps heat bad. I keep seeing ads for cooling gel memory foam mattresses and they sound good, but I honestly can’t tell if it’s real or just marketing hype.

Do these mattresses actually stay cool through the whole night or is it only cool when you first lay down? I’ve read mixed stuff online and most reviews feel fake or sponsored.

I’m trying to find something reliable because bad sleep is starting to mess with my energy during the day. Don’t wanna waste money on another mattress that sounds amazing for a week then sleeps hot again.

Would really appreciate real experiences and maybe brand recommendations from people who actually use one long term.
