Czech Youngster Seriously Injured
We don't like to share this kind of news. The entire Polish speedway community is rooting for Patryk Budniak, but unfortunately, he's not the only one in serious condition. A very serious accident also occurred during Friday's competition in Slaný.
On May 8th, the annual memorial for Antonin Vilde, a Czechoslovak speedway rider who died in an accident at Zlatá Přilba in 1963, took place at the track in Slaný, Czech Republic. The pairs tournament was won by Matic Ivačič and Michael West, but shortly after the race, the results faded into the background as it turned out that the health condition of one of the participants was much more serious than expected.
We would like to wish the rider and their family all the best for their recovery
