First Mother’s Day

Hello fellow birth moms, today is my first Mother’s Day. My baby turns 6 months old later this month so it’s all very fresh still. I’ve been blessed to have a rather positive open adoption story- I love my story and my baby and her parents. I spoke to my therapist last week about this upcoming holiday and overall I feel positive about it. I love the role I play and am so grateful to be a birth mom, I was blessed and was able to bring her into the world. I’m only not starting to feel emotional about it, I guess I feel “lost in the crowd”. I’m seeing all the Mother’s Day posts and it’s all a new feeling. I’m just seeking comfort here I guess. Happy Mother’s Day fellow birth moms. How are you holding up? What was your first Mother’s Day like? How do you or do you not celebrate? I would love some input and connection right now.
