Live Translation?

Thinking of getting the Airpods Pro 3 for various reasons but am really curious about the Live Translation Feature.

Have any of you used it and can comment on how good/bad it is? Is it like good for traveling/language learning?

Do you need to have an apple product to use it? I have an iPad/Mac but not an iPhone.

Any thoughts appreciated 🙏
