Marvel Rivals Magik player here. TIL she was raped and never really got revenge on Belasco

That's it, as I played Rivals I got more and more interested in her character, so I went online and as I fooled around I found out.

Honestly, this terrible, I couldn't be more sad, disgusted and gut wrenched than I already am rn.

Bro why? Why? What was marvel cooking back then man, as if I had not suffered enough reading Spider-Man comics I end finding out she on top of being literally raped and having to serve that scum called Belasco in every sexual way possible on top of that Marvel apparently never made her at least KILL THAT SHITTER, just banish him from limbo? Oh come on man what was marvel cooking? What is this bs? What in the freaked up fetish is this they have with writing rape stories? Yo make matters worse it is a child rape story to top it all. Never once in comics I have seen rape being well handled, it is always some stupid editorial + writer fetish, barely disguised as a plot device which purpose is only to shock, like, what came from all those years of rape and abuse?

Also what is with people complaining about Magik being sexualized or sum like that...? Like, I don't see no problem with that shi. Some of y'all treat her as a little kid who will never grow up and can't show a little skin, almost as if abuse victims should be defined only by what happened to them in the past, and could not move on and live a life. It is almost hypocrisy how people preach how she is a fighter but cry when she shows a little skin because her outfit is revealing, like, isn't it controversial how you say she is a fighter for keeping on after what happened to her but you can't accept her acting like a normal girl because you just can't let go of the "abuse victim" image of Ilyana.

Just wanted to rant cuz this is unbelievably stupid, you write a story like that and to make matters worse you never write a proper revenge story, wow, marvel is clearly the master of rage baiting, cuz how else would you keep people engaged with your stories if not by making them get stupidly angry and enraged with your the dumb bs you writem
