Book recommendations for someone who doesn't know where to start
I am a 9th grader, and I am so interested in the field of computer science. The problem is, I don't know where to start. There are so many different careers, topics, and fields, and I want to start exploring them this summer. I know how to program in HTML, CSS, a bit of python and C++, but I want to completely start over. I want to start from the beginning with a book that explains the basics of computer science from the ground up. I don't want to be coding because I just memorize lines of code; I want to code while understanding how everything works. If anyone has any book recommendations for this, please let me know. I am also looking into data science and want to find a book for maybe learning the basics of that. After learning about the basics of computer science, I want to start learning a language, like python and focusing on specific fields like ML or data science. If you know any good books for any of these topics, please comment them here, and I'll purchas e them on Amazon.
