Not sure which to do, replay Hades or jump into 2?

I played Hades 1 years ago, one of my Covid games and had a blast. Probably my first Roguelike or at least the first I beat. So when Hades 2 was announced I obviously got hyped, but years passed and even when the demo/beta whatever came out, I ignored it, I wanted to go in as blind as possible.

Now, finally, it’s out on PS5 and I finally have the time. But I’m not sure which would be best, replay 1 or go straight to 2. They’re long games and whilst I would doubtless enjoy Hades again, I want to get into 2.

I do remember the story, so I assume I won’t get lost on that front. Zag wants to find Persephone, dies a billion times, finally fights his dad and finds her. Rinse and repeat until Persephone returns to the underworld with the Olympians and the Chthonic gods reconciling, with Zag becoming the Underworld’s official security tester. And obviously a bunch of side stuff.

Can I just jump on in?
