Lost all my saves after returning after 1 year

Hey everyone. I came back to No Man’s Sky after about a year and all my saves are gone. I’m using the same Xbox account I’ve always used on PC (Microsoft Store version), but the game starts like I never played before.

It feels like my saves aren’t syncing at all. I had thousands of hours and a lot of ships. To make things worse, I accidentally entered the game and it created a new save file (not sure if that could have affected anything).

Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix?
