Can you make pretty good money as a Electrician with two years experience and no journeyman license?

I’m 35 years old just started a position as a residential Electrician apprentice. I have been in construction basically my whole life. Can you start making over $30 an hour as an electrician in two years? I’m located in Virginia Beach if that helps. I was thinking of doing two years residential then switching to commercial.
