Syndrome from The Incredibles death is set up from the very beginning of the movie. Buddy is shown to lack situational awareness and doesn't see the bomb. Later he nearly gets hit by a tree mid monologue, gets blindsided by the Omnidroid & is caught off guard while monologuing at the end
