The evolution of the SPD

Since I was bored, and can’t currently do anything irp, I thought I’d detail the evolution of the SPD, and all the parties that went into it. For the purpose of this post though, I won’t cover the various renamings.

The SPD’s origins as a party lie in 2 tents and one, maybe two parties, if I’m remembering this correctly.

In the first tent, you have the United People’s Front, a tent composed of 3 September parties: Red Roses People’s Party, Kemalist Party, and the LDPR.

The other tent is the Democratic Redditors Party tent, originally composed of the original Wuhmist Party, and an assortment of independents. This includes the party founder and 4th President TheRedPrinceYT. (This tent formed on my birthday!)

These two tents eventually merged, forming the Democratic People’s Front. This name was kept, even when the Progressive Party of Reddit merged with the DPF. Since then, it went through several rebrandings.

I will not claim to say which tent has supremacy in the resulting party, as it was the merging of two tents, not a party getting absorbed (that said, Proggies lose this, lol). All that can be said, was that these were the ingredients that form the current SPD, even if the pieces are now defunct. Please do comment if you have different ideas about the supremacy in the founding of this centre-left tent party!
