Am I aromantic?
Ok, so, I explained to my sibling the way I experience romantic love and they told me, vehemently, that I was aromantic, and maybe I am?.
(Context of the conversation; I just broke off my engagement of a seven year relationship and I was, apparently, "Keeping it together too well" )
Basically I define being in love with someone by "I love them" (As in caring deeply for them and trying to make them happy in every way possible, that is the way I love everyone I love, same intensity and way of expressing it) + "Oh, they'd be great in a team and raising kids with them would be great, I should fall in Love with them", and then I just do it?
I feel mildly disappointed when I am rejected, but it feels similar to being told "Oh, I can't go to your party" type of rejection and I get over it pretty quickly, but I feel devastated for months if they leave my life.
I'm feeling extremely sad about losing my ex partner as a part of my life, and I will miss the team we used to have before life got in the way, but I don't long for a future partnership with them.
OK, now that I read, it does sound very much like my sibling won the bet, but like, opinions?
(If you see any atrocious wording or punctuation, English is not my first language, sorry.)
