Day 45, severe PMS symptoms and cramps but still no period. Could this still be a delayed cycle?
24F, 67 kgs don’t have a medical history,
irregular cycles/possible PCOS. Last cycle I had to take Crina NCR to induce my period after a prolonged delay. My period eventually came and ended around March 31.
Now I’m on Day 45 of the next cycle and still no proper bleeding. I have not had unprotected sex, so pregnancy risk is extremely low, but my anxiety has been spiraling because of the delay.
For the last several days I’ve had:
• on and off cramps, now stronger lower pelvic/period-type cramps
• nausea
• breast pain
• lower back pain
• creamy/clear discharge changes
• occasional dark brown/black tiny spotting-like marks
• “period smell” feeling without actual bleeding
• exhaustion
I also have Hb 8 (significant anemia)
The confusing part is that my body feels extremely PMS-like, but the actual bleed still hasn’t started. My natural periods, when they do come on their own, are often around Day 42-ish, but this cycle has stretched further.
At this point my plan is:
• wait a little longer
• take a pregnancy test Wednesday for reassurance
• if still no period, possibly take Crina NCR again after speaking to my doctor
Does this sound more like delayed ovulation/anovulatory cycle with prolonged PMS symptoms, or does anything here sound concerning enough that I should seek urgent evaluation?
