Maybe not the right place to ask

Had a 2015 Macbook Pro die. I have a 2 TB Drive full of live concerts that I would drop into Itunes to play. Is it worth picking up a 2018 MacBookpro so I can play these. (For a reasonable price) Or is there a better way with a newer smaller model to do this without much stress?
