Delay between murders and phone call to police, am I missing something?

In this clip from prosecutor William Brown's opening statement at 5:20 he mentions that the case "starts nearly a week later" (a week after the murders) when on July 7th, 2021, Chandler files a missing person report at the Dane County sheriff's office. How did no one notice that Bart and Krista were missing for almost a full week? Did they not go to work or had to report to work? Didn't Mitchell try to reach them by phone at any point for nearly a week? What about their neighbors and friends? Am I missing something here?
