IDC 5 24 Metanium DC brakes

IDC5 brakes 24’ metanium DC

Hey Shimano Met DC users!

I just picked up my first IDC 5 reel (24 Metanium DC) and I’m just trying to understand its brakes.

The Shimano website is saying the outer dial is based on weight and A for auto but my reel doesn’t have an A

Is it safe to assume that like my DC4 reel that fluoro brakes more than braid?

I have it spooled with braid and cannot go down below 4 on the fine tuning. I’ve seen some videos and mine is doing similar behavior where the spool runs during the second half of the cast leading to more backlashes than I had hoped

Is it better to back it off to F instead of P?

I don’t mind leaving the brake higher but feel like I’m missing out on cast distance

What do you all use? Thanks in advance!!
