What would make you actually switch AI character chatting platforms?
Hey everyone, I’m Jack, one of the co-founders of a small AI character chatting/ roleplay platform.
Not dropping a link. Not asking anyone to try anything.
I’m just trying to understand what would actually make heavy AI chatting / roleplay users switch platforms.
If you use Character.AI, Janitor, Chai, SillyTavern, CrushOn, PolyBuzz, Emochi, Doki, Swerve, or similar apps:
What is the biggest thing most platforms still get wrong?
Memory?
Character personality?
Personas?
Lorebooks?
Search?
Editing / deleting / rewinding?
Message limits?
Ads?
Pricing?
Mobile experience?
Model quality?
Also, what is one thing a new platform would need to do really well for you to seriously give it a shot?
Brutally honest answers are welcome. I’d rather hear the painful truth than build in the wrong direction.
