Helping new player

My friend is new to dbd, what are some ways I can help take chase or help midchase, possibly a perk from free characters to help her in chase

She has sprint burst, spine chill, bond?, adrenaline atm. I dont think Kate's windows is free? Adrenaline isnt getting much use and spine chill is a hard keep
