I (F/25) have been in more so of a conflict type of situation with my family because I’ve recently realized how I have been treated unfairly and how my spiritual and creative gifts have been basically at their disposal with no type of compensation (they belittle them as they’re using them), no type of respect for my own time and that boundaries do not exist in this house. Boundaries are seen as a personal dig and attack to said person which is why I have been conditioned to sugarcoat the truth for not only my family, but for myself, which I realize have now been in validating my own feelings.

Long story short because I have stayed more to myself and I am currently saving to move out of my childhood home, my dad has been so beyond irritated. He has told me that I was weird multiple times. I reminded him of my alcoholic brother who has done nothing but shown them that he doesn’t love them and today he got mad because I didn’t wish my mom or sister a happy Mother’s day when they both congregate a gossip about me and pass judgment on me (WHICH HE KNOWS) and I am finally standing my ground on it and I’ve been harassed for like the last two months because of that. 

I woke up to this really long text from my dad and idk what to do because I feel like I’m tap dancing between protecting my energy versus being present enough to where this is not a problem but I really don’t want anything to do with them. I haven’t been disrespectful or spiteful or confrontational or anything throughout this whole process. I have already attempted to have an actual intelligent sitdown conversation, but they’ve already decided that they’re right and now I’m just mimicking the things that my brother has done when literally I’ve only ever been more reserved. That’s it.

What do I do?
