Ascent vs another car

Hello, I recently got my license a few months ago and have been in the market for a new car. I recently discovered the Subaru forester and fell in love with them and how cute they are; however, I also learned about Subaru ascents and like both. Today I saw that my local car dealership had a 2019 Subaru ascent for 15k which seems like a great deal to me, but as a soon to be 18 year old idk how to feel about it because it’s so big. My mom likes the fact it’s big because it means it’s safer however I might struggle to park and with gas. So I was wondering what I should do. Should I keep looking at foresters which tend to be a little less high tech or get the Subaru ascent even though I don’t have kids but enjoy the model. My only concerns for the ascent is that it’s way too big and unnecessary for me but besides that I love the car. Thank you:)
