Daffodill bubble tea

I just played the milk tea shop meet up quest with daffodill and bore witness to the most nonsensical dialogue string I have ever seen in one of these games. appraiser proceeds to order only to follow up later in the conversation wondering if he should order one even though he already did. only for them to talk about wether or not she wants to order a milk tea to try while waiting for the milk tea they BOTH ALREADY ORDERSD. would this even be a translation issue or was the just plain stupidity?
