Explore Rate Digital Form

I will be checking in at a hotel soon. How does the digital form work? I know before this, you only had to present a physical copy of the authorization form at the front desk. Now, do you just have to check-in and they'll automatically see that you have MMP? I remember adding myself onto my dad's account who works for Marriott. Thanks to anyone who will respond to this.
