How long until a WiFi fix finally happens?

Going to keep the post short and sweet. This is the coolest handheld product I've probably ever had. But I've had it for 2-3 months now, and I find myself googling "AYN Thor WiFi issues" at least once a week. Massive youtube reviewers talk about this WiFi frequently just not working for no reason, what seems like hundreds of posts across Facebook, Reddit, etc - I have e-mailed AYN directly and been told they are working on it.

What gives? How can we get WiFi consistently working on this device without spamming airplane mode, enabling / disabling router settings, or running off a phone hot spot? Anyone have an official fix that isn't rolling back the firmware to 4 months ago?
