Before anyone asks in the comments. Yes, the Creator of Danganronpa has co-created a game which Takumi (the redhead on the right) is from.

Takumi and Roxas seemed to be an odd matchup at first, until I realized how similar they are as well how their abilities differ.

Roxas. A Keyblade user who is Sora’s Nobody and is the protagonist of his game; 358/2 Days, as well as generally a major character.

Takumi. A boy with special blood powers who is a clone of a powerful baby with fire powers (Yes, you read that right) and the protagonist of Hundred Line.

Both are teenagers who were introduced as living normal lives, until some stranger confront them to do something. Axel tried to get Roxas back, but DiZ/Ansem the Wise interfered while Sirei recruited Takumi to fight in a war.

Both have unique powers unlike many; Roxas can use a keyblade while Takumi uses Hemoanima/cryptoglobin (his blood) to fight. Both eventually come to learn the lives we were introduced to were a lie and a means to contain and groom or use them. Roxas was captured and couldn’t remember his time in the Org. XIII as he’s in a digital world while Takumi was a test tube baby who was spoon fed memories in order to shape his personality, but both were made to do something that they wouldn’t like to do.

Takumi and Roxas has a friend of confusing matters. Takumi’s childhood friend was Karua, who was an imaginary friend modeled after Nozomi since Nozomi met Takumi in his capsule, and Takumi’s mind created Karua so Nozomi would somewhat live in Takumi’s false life. Roxas’s friend Xion is a replica modeled after Sora’s memories of Kairi. Both friends died in the protagonists arms and later on they’re brought back; Takumi had to time travel to save Nozomi (depending on your choices, he may succeed or fail horribly) while Xion was revived to be a member of the True Org. XIII and was saved.

Takumi had the Special Defense Unit, or the SDU for short. The SDU is a group of students of Last Defense Academy who mostly are clones of the powerful baby they’re protecting, except for Nozomi and Eva (in some routes), to power up a weapon to save mankind. Roxas had the original Org. XIII who are a group of Nobodies fighting to get Kingdom Hearts to reclaim their hearts. However, those were not the truth. SDU were designed to protect the baby, Shion, to power up weapon for a Final Solution to rid a Earth-like planet of its natives, which Takumi and the other clone members of SDU would be native to. The Org. XIII was to be a candidate check to see which members would be good for the Keyblade War for Master Xehanort to obtain the X-Blade by splitting his heart into 13. Aside the purposes of the groups they’re in, both groups feature a diverse cast with weapons and personalities that are different from each other.

Those are a handful of similarities I can point out. Now, Takumi is from a long, LONG visual novel tactical RPG game with 100 possible endings. No, that’s not a lie or a scam, you can actually achieve 100 endings after completing a prologue that’ll take hours to play through alone. Roxas is from a series of action RPGs first released back in 2002, with his debut in Kingdom Hearts 2. I thought this would be a fun matchup to see a fight. How do you think this fight would turn out? I’d love to hear some opinions and discussions.

Takumi Sumino (The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy) VS Roxas (Kingdom Hearts); Two teenaged swordsmen who are part of their respective group designed with a purpose by their manipulators, lived a false life, and had lost their best friends once. Contains spoilers, read at your own risk.
