Why are some women into older women

This is in no way a hateful or judgmental question, I would take on a cougar attack any day of the week but I've always just wondered why some women are into older women?

For some sort of context, my mom was somewhat present in my life up until covid. When I was little and up until I was about six years old, she was in the military and was deployed a lot so she wasn't home a lot. When I was six, she got out and became a police officer but her and my dad got a divorce so he had to watch me as she worked nights most of the time so I only got to see her about every other weekend, my dad used to be in the military also but not while I was alive and he was pretty mean while I was growing up. My mom eventually got another job but she traveled all the time so I was stuck with my mean ass dad, she spent some years on the job then covid hit and she stopped traveling. In 2023, she retired completely and by that time, I was busy with life and a lot of other things but I got to see her a lot more often and even though I don't live at home anymore, our relationship is absolutely amazing today and there's no hate of her not being around all the time. Me and my dad have a decent relationship also.

I'm not sure if it has something to do with my parents or other aspects of my childhood or trauma but I am 100% into older women, I don't know why either and I just want to hear other peoples perspectives or stories.
