EMERGENCY- LOST PARROT, Farmingville/Holtzville NY. $600 reward.

Last seen high in a tree at dusk.

Friends and neighbors, our beloved 2 year old Mexican Green Conure (parrot) got startled and flew away at around 7 PM in Holtzville, Long Island/NY. Screenshot included- red box is the general area of where we think he’s at, arrow is where we last saw him. Right by the Bolla on Portion Rd.

Information leading to his safe return: $600 reward. If you see him on the ground, show him food or water and he’ll come to you: don’t make any sudden moves or startle him. He only flies when he’s startled.

His name is Mr. Bird. He’s about 11” from beak to tail, completely green, and has a green band around his ankle marked with “1975”. He has a \*very\* loud, shrill screech that sounds nothing like the other birds. Whistling, calling his name, or saying “Thirsty Bird!” usually gets a response.

He is not a confident flier at all and only flies when startled: we’ve been 2 feet away with his favorite food and he’s still too afraid to fly. And yet, when motivated, he’s an incredibly capable, fast, and coordinated flier (as we learned tonight).

Please keep a lookout for him. We’re devastated. Please DM me if you see or hear anything.
