how to deal with ambitionless people

I really need to vent about the toxic crab mentality in my college.

I’ve been working hard on my skills lately. I recently secured a paid internship and even stood in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH). I was super proud of these wins, but instead of any support or healthy competition, my classmates are just doubling down on the mockery.

Every time I’m seen working or if I mention a new project, I get the same brainless "Maksad pura kar rahe ho?" jokes because I’m Muslim. When I started learning Python, they’d say, "Python seekh ke kya karega, job toh milni nahi." Well, I literally have a paid internship now, and they’re still sitting there with zero progress.

It’s exhausting that even after proving myself at a national level like SIH, I’m still just a punchline for their "dark humor." They have no ambition, no projects, and no future plans, yet they try to make me feel small for actually trying.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of environment? How do you keep your sanity when your "peers" are actively trying to rot your brain with their negativity?
