Get caught of entering host daughter’s room
I’m an international student staying in a homestay and recently something awkward happened that brought back an old situation I’ve been stressing about.
A few days ago there was a strange smell in the house. The host mother was talking with another tenant (a Chinese student I already have tension with). I overheard part of the conversation and it sounded like he was accusing me of vaping in the bathroom, even though I never did that.
While they were talking, I also overheard something that made me panic. It sounded like the host mother mentioned “that student” entering her daughter’s room before, and said she had changed the lock. She never said my name directly, and when I came out and asked what was happening, she just said there was a gas smell in the house and nothing serious. Also, there was a german guy who always caused trouble but he just left a week ago so i don’t really know does she mention about me or him
Here’s why I’m stressed: about 2 months ago, I did enter her daughter’s room twice when the door was slightly open to steal her past underwear and masturbate because she doesn’t live in this house anymore but her stuff still there. I know now that this crossed a privacy boundary, and I regret it. But nobody ever confronted me about it, and I honestly thought nobody knew.
