Did CJ try to kill Victor with his leaking air tank at ground zero?

I grew up with We're Alive, and I have wondered ever since I first heard chapter 28 in my youth. We know CJ was attracted to Saul at least a little at the time, likely much more so. The SCUBA tanks were color coded, when there is sinply no reason to do so (that I have been able to think of, anyway). It's the only explanation that makes since to me, aside from possibly size? I assumed they were adjustable. However, I've never even seen one and only know what I have been able to deduce from media.
