Currently at IITH (M.tech), but badly want to pivot to MS (Research) in Analog/RF at IITM. No valid GATE—is it possible?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently pursuing my M.Tech at IIT Hyderabad (Through SS), but I’ve realized my heart is elsewhere. I’ve developed a massive interest in Analog IC and RF Design (specifically LNAs and front-ends), and I’m desperate to move into a strong research-focused program like the MS (Research) at IIT Madras.

The catch: I don’t have a valid GATE score right now.

I know the Analog/RF group at IITM (the Integrated Circuits and Systems group) is world-class and notoriously hard to get into. Since I’m already at an IIT, I'm looking for advice on the best "legit" way to make this transition:
