What's people's thoughts on ganking?

This is a stupid question/discussion but I'm a returning player and I can remember ever since I started playing back in 2018-2019 when I would play brawls, dominion and breach, I'd get super annoyed and salty about people ganking. Returning recently I still find it annoying and enjoy the dueling aspect of the game more, even when playing on dominion (which is starting to become my default game mode). I've started watching FH YouTube videos and Im hearing about gank strats, different kinds of ganking, and the roles of different heros (as typically a VERY casual this is all new to me) and I've recently become convinced that there is a "honorable" way to team up on someone.

I don't really know where im going with this but Is that crazy to think and ganking is just a very annoying stupid strat, or is it actually something that is common and not something to get annoyed about
