Just me?

Is anyone underwhelmed by the lack of variety of biomes in the game? It’s just brown and red the whole time. I understand this isn’t returnal but I was expecting variety in scenery. I’m only on the 3rd act maybe there is more I haven’t seen. It just feels like I’m fighting inside an internal combustion engine the whole time.
