Lost two great candidates in Germany back to back because our hiring process was taking 3 months and I wanted to throw my laptop out the window

Employer of Record

Okay so this one still stings. found an incredible senior engineer in Berlin, got him excited about the role, offer accepted. then we started trying to figure out the local employment setup and the timeline just kept stretching. three weeks in he messaged saying he'd accepted another offer while we were still sorting paperwork. did the exact same thing with a product lead in Amsterdam two months later. different candidate, same outcome. at that point I had to admit the process was completely broken and we were basically disqualifying ourselves as an employer the moment candidates found out how long it would take.

finally just sorted it properly through Multiplier and the next hire in Germany went from offer acceptance to day one in 10 days. locally compliant contract, social security contributions, health insurance, all handled without us needing our own entity. the candidate actually commented on how smooth the onboarding felt which after the previous two disasters meant everything.

if you're losing candidates in Europe because your hiring infrastructure can't keep up with your recruiting, this is the fix.
