P trap for vanity with drawers and waste outlet
We are renovating a bathroom and are engaging a plumber, however am unsure as to if the basin waste drain pipe was roughed in (as the rough in took longer than anticipated). Currently the waste comes up through slab in wall and the drain outlet returns into vanity at 430mm from finished floor level. The new vanity is higher than old, so the new basin will sit at 820mm from FFL. My question is should the waste drain be moved higher up, so that the p trap sits beneath the basin, and then goes into drain. As with this setup we have now, there seems to be a long 'drop' between the basin and the drain waste?
I did ask the plumber this, and he said they will attach the p trap right underneath the basin, and have it drop into the waste outlet. But my concern is, it won't drop right in waste outlet.. it will drop down, then have another elbow to connect to waste outlet. If this setup is OK then that's fine, but just wanting to triple check before putting sheets back on and waterproofing etc.
The vanity has drawers, so just have the u cutout of drawers to work with.
Appreciate any advise.
