My husband is stealing my grief-
Back story - 4 years ago my husband lost his dad. The 2-3 years leading up to that his dad had been very ill, and was in-home hospice for lat 18-20 months. My husband spent countless hours at his parents before he passed and even more after. Including graveside, needing a drive to talk to dad, etc. I had no issue with this, told him over and over I’m here when you are ready to talk, etc.
Present day- my dad took ill Jan. 2026, passed March 17., we just had his memorial this past weekend due to out of state family. My husband has been less than supportive… when are you coming home from hospital, you can’t keep going there all the time, you have a family at home. ( it’s just him, we’re empty nesters). Now he just starts to get emotional and tell me he can’t get over his dad passing, this is so hard, it’s all coming back, take care of me…
I’ve had less than 2 months to grieve my dad and he is finding every way to make it about him. What the heck am I supposed to do?
