High LCP from PageSpeed Insights API???

I'm using Google's PageSpeed Insights API to get my site's technical SEO metrics.

Sometimes the LCP it gives me is outrageously high.. I just tried it and got 57 seconds ???

But then when I go try the same URL on https://pagespeed.web.dev/ it gives me a perfectly reasonable number.

Why is this?? How do I fix this?? ChatGPT recommends me to just sample three times and take the median, surely there's a better way?
