mas4105 heads up

hey i took linear algebra with keeran this spring and my advice for those taking his class for summer c are to drop and retake with someone else because my experience was terrible 😢

im a math major and before this i took mathematical reasoning and passed with an A. going into the spring semester i thought keeran would be the best option, boy was i wrong. he is an alright guy but his teaching is abysmal, writes stuff down on the board and quickly erases it and then reviews theorems by reading them off a slide without any annotation. i had to teach myself the course outside the class with the textbook and youtubers that taught abstract linear algebra, i squeezed out the term with a B that could have been an easy A if i didn’t have to teach myself a foundational math course alongside my other 3 classes.

please, to save your gpa take 4105 in the fall with another’s prof like bartosova who do more to teach you the material. if you aren’t strong with proofs, my B experience could end up being a C or failing for you 😭
