Is blabla app any good for Carpooling ?

I am travelling to Chennai with my wife this Thursday and thinking about Carpooling. Have you guys tried it and is there anything I should keep in mind as a ride giver ?

Now there is a request from our PM for Carpooling, I am assuming there won't be any problem legally.
