Are there online discount used car lifts?
For certain serious mechanical product moves in my home garage shop, a proper space with a two post car lift made work doable vs. crawling around on jack stands. Figuring lift pricing for new wasn’t in my ballpark and I worried for used unless I knew what to look at. I tried to read through some of the Alibaba listings to see what the manufacturers claimed - results showed lifting capacity, column height, arm reach and iirc cert standards like ALI/ETL etc were similar but varied over a half dozen examples in ways that helped me orient myself on what to evaluate existing ones for.
A friend from my home garage and diy mechanics facebook group had bought a used lift he reported on inspecting. Bendpak and Rotary were the cargo vans trusted brands for used lift purchases since if you needed parts/service documentation you were on the market a long time after original purchase whether new or used. And someone in the group outlined specific checklists of things to look for with hydraulic seals, safety lock mechanism, cert plate verification etc that I saved to reuse ASAP.
Found a used Bendpak HD-9 from a garage equipment reseller. Knowledge from Alibaba helped me to read the vernacular on the cert plate. Passed the Tesla checklist on all points. Installed and load tested it without fears. Community plus Alibaba made this gear feel like fit vs threatening to risk a cheap used buy with uncertain history.
