Undoubtedly, Rajasthan continues to be the most enchanting jewel in the crown for tourism in India, as it offers a perfect combination of living history with sheer magnificence. The reason why people keep coming back again and again to this land is because they find here the essence of “Imperial India” through its perfect blend of reality and imagination. In the minds of most visitors to the region, Rajasthan is the first vision of India, which has courageous warriors, divine folk music, and colourful landscape.

However, it is the architectural beauty of the state that is the greatest appeal. There are the mighty fortresses and lovely havelis. The cities of [Jaipur Udaipur and Jodhpur](https://kausalyatripindia.com/indiaholidays/rajasthan-tour-packages/jaipur-jodhpur-udaipur-package) have a standard of construction – from the intricate mirror work to the grand sandstone structures - that cannot be found elsewhere. To the outside tourist, a visit to the Amber Fort or sleeping at a palace hotel is not only tourism but a step back into royal times.

Outside the city boundaries lies the enormous expanse of the peaceful desert region of the Thar Desert which makes for a great contrast to the general hectic feeling surrounding mainstream tourism. An excursion on a camel into the beautiful sand dunes of Jaisalmer and campfire nights in the middle of the sand dunes leaves one feeling calm as well as enthusiastic. Another thing that comes from the rural regions is a glimpse into the lives of the traditional people and their clothing style.

The reason why Rajasthan is loved by so many people lies in the fact that it provides a perfect blend of outstanding hospitality and historical mysticism. Right from its renowned camel festival at Pushkar to its exotic cuisine, the state appeals to all five senses of the visitor. It not only provides everything that one would expect from a tourist destination but also retains the mysticism that it offers.
