Health Insurance - HDFC Ergo

I had applied for HDFC Ergo Optima Secure+. Somehow it got rejected. One person called me saying you can reapply before refund is processed so that the application can be reconsidered coting applicant might have submitted wrong info first time. The person is claiming to be HDFC ergo employee. Has shared employee id with me. Not sure how genuine it is..

Has anyone reapplied like this before refund is processed for 1st application?
